What is Among The Gods?

Among The Gods is a story written by two teenage girls, Tori and Molly. It is a story made from putting the two of their stories together to form one. Among the Gods is made from Tori's main story Princes, Princesses, and Protectors And Molly's main story Legend of Tears and Blood . (PPAP and LOTAB for short)

When Was Among The Gods started?

On Novemeber 15th, 2002. Molly and I were both in 7th grade and were starting to get along. We had not been friends until that year. We barely talked to each other, the only time we talked was in cheerleading. (YES WE WERE CHEERLEADERS XD) It started out in a small little dragon notebook that Molly had gotten from her sister. We usually got in trouble with the notebooks and they were taken away from us and read by our teachers. Warning to other people like us, NEVER BRING A YAOI RP INTO SCHOOL! *laughs* Molly and I got in a lot of trouble from Among The Gods. Molly and I were both suspended, I was for my comic, Molly was for the RP.

How was Among The Gods started?

As I said, Molly and I were not buddy buddy with each other for a long time ^^; We hardly talked or even looked at each other. During study hall one day (We had study hall in the libary)I was writing to PPAP. I usually wrote to it every day during study hall. Molly came over and asked to read it, she had always wanted to read it as she watched me write like a maniac to it every day. I let her read it, she took it home one night and found out that I liked Yaoi. We slowly became friends n_n, but we really started to become friends after we went to a camp with our school. (Nature's Classroom). Molly has this black dragon small book that we started to write in. It started out that we were at my character Akira Avalon's house, slowly molly and I brought each one of our characters into the mix. Soon we were coming up with story lines and pairing off our characters. And they stay that way in PPAP and LOTAB.

What is Among The Gods about?

Among The Gods is about many things. There are a lot of side stories to it. The major part of it is space, the universe. In Molly's story LOTAB each constilation is owned by a certian person who lives on a planet in the middle of it. In my story each star is it's very own solar system, which is owned by a certian family. Since our stories are combained we don't fight about how things should go.
There are many wars happening during Among The Gods. Races fighting to see who is the best or fighting to keep their land. In the beginning it is about a war that has been going on between the Riinea family and the Supreme family.
Slowly it gets into something much more. The struggle of fighting to protect the ones you love, losing the one you love, watching innocent people get murderd. Character's fight against themselves to see what the right choice is, or they fight the Persona's inside themselves. There are many conflicts in Among The Gods.
Among The Gods takes place in the year 9001, many things have happened to the planet Earth and it's solar system. You are slowly introduced to more and more characters and about their lives.

Just How Long Is Among The Gods?

Well let's see... There was at least 160 comic pages before I restarted it and now I estimate there will be more then 200 pages at the same place. And there is about 20,5 subject notebooks sitting on my book shelf that is Among The Gods... And that's the ending part of it... The part I am drawing right now really isn't Among The Gods it's pretty much the prologue to Among The Gods n_n! So stay connected o_o it's going to be a HUGE comic!

What were your inspirations for this story?

Well... Unlike most people Molly and I do not like taking ideas from other stories... If I was to pick animes/mangas that were similar in some ways it would have to be Yami No Matsuei and Gravitation... But not really. Gravitation because Kyo obsesses over Hisoke's band and has one of his own that is just starting. Yami because of all the demons and shit in the story. Molly and my inspirations usually come from real life, or us just thinking of something cute that Hisoke and Kyo (and other couples) would do.

How do you come up with so many Characters?

Well... to tell the truth... I really don't know. Among The Gods has so many characters that I have a very hard time keeping track of them XD! We come with characters when we want something new to happen in the story. And there is lots of room to make new things happen. We had to come up with characters for war, conserts, rulers, fighters, whatever but Among The Gods just needs a lot of characters. I try to limit it to only a few so people don't get confused. If I was to do everything that happened in our story... The comic would be never ending XD!


Why does Among The Gods have so many characters?

As you read the comic you will notice a lot of characters coming into it. We have so many characters because each one has an important job to carry out. You may think a character is "pointless", but as you read you will realize that they do in fact that a point to them. Molly and I are trying hard to keep updating the profiles but a lot of things come up and we keep making new characters ^^; So please be patient with us! :3


Where did you get the Ideas for Among The Gods?

For me? Science. I am SO fasinated by space. One day my wonderful teacher was talking about a theory about the universe. Our sun is just a star, and there are countless stars out there. And the Theory is that every star, has it's own solar system. Which is what my main story is based on. I brought this into Among The Gods. With my characters.
For Molly, she liked the idea of Constalations being owned by one person, and people following under them. That was from her main story, Legend of Tears and Blood. She took her ideas and wove them into Among The Gods as well. We are still trying to find a way for our stories to peacefully come together but some of our ideas are different so we compromise.


Would you say that some of your characters in Among The Gods are similar to you?

Yes. Of course. A lot of our characters have traits that Molly or I have or wish we had. XD We joke about how Hikari Grieve and Tyoke Nerema are just like us. We try and make our characters different from us, but it is hard to make a character that sees things in a different light then their creators do. ^^; Some of our characters are modeled after friends or enemies as well.
